Weida Philippines Inc. (WPI), is the Philippines subsidiary of Weida (Malaysia) Berhad, which is the leading manufacturer of engineered polyethylene (PE) products in Malaysia. It started supplying polyethylene engineering products such as storage tanks and pipes in Sarawak in 1983. By 1996, it had expanded operations in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah. At present it operates 5 manufacturing plants in Malaysia which are located in Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Nilai, Miri and Tawau.

Weida (M) Bhd is listed on the Main Board of the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) and is backed by government institutional shareholders and the private sector. From water and waste water infrastructure, the company has branched to extensive stakes in bulk storage systems, telecommunication, infrastructure and property development. Overall however, the company is considered a manufacturer which has been at the forefront of development over the last two decades.

The Philippine Operation

With a strong belief in the potential of the Philippine market, Weida expanded its manufacturing base by setting up a factory in Dasmariñas,Cavite in mid-2008. This served a great milestone in its path toward overseas expansion.

Adhering to the manufacturing standards of excellence that the parent Malaysian company has maintained as an 

ISO 9001:2015 certified establishment, Weida Philippines began producing products which were immediately recognized by the local industry as one of outstanding quality and standard.

Focusing on supplying the needs of the local water and wastewater sectors, the company established a Sales Office in Libis, Quezon City, close to the home of many developers and contractors. The Libis office has put in place all the necessary support for sales operations, such as autocad facilities which allow for rapid customer response.The company prides itself in providing clients flexible product design through the efforts of its highly-skilled R&D / Engineering Department.
